  • Assistant Surveying Project Manager: Ackerman Surveying is looking for an experienced Assistant Surveying Project Manager with a strong technical background, land planning and construction knowledge, AutoCAD/Civil3D proficiency, and project/crew management experience.

    Duties include managing survey projects, client contact, meeting deadlines, reviewing/signing plans, assigning work to technical and survey crew staff, and assuring quality of work. Successful candidate must be able to coordinate the roles and responsibilities required to initiate, plan, execute, and deliver the necessary survey data for public and private clients.

    Responsibilities include strong communication with team members and clients, successful project management, ensuring the quality and timeliness of deliverables, and managing and mentoring staff. Working knowledge of GPS field equipment, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS necessary.

    Candidate must have experience in team/project management. North Dakota PLS license required; licensure in additional states is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent necessary; college degree in applicable field is preferred.

  • CADD Technician/Designer: Ackerman Surveying is searching for an experienced full-time CADD Technician with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation experience preferred working on civil works and land surveying projects. The ideal candidate will understand and interpret survey data, perform office and CADD computations, and be capable of understanding and reviewing drawings and identifying conflicts between the civil design and the other discipline design. Qualifications include a preferred Associate's degree in civil technology or related field. Experience is a plus, but not a requirement.

  • Field Surveyor: Ackerman Surveying has an immediate opening for a field surveyor to assist a crew chief with data collection, equipment operation, and field work. The position is seasonal, but includes opportunity for advancement with a growing company. If you enjoy working outside and having variety in your day, we will provide on-the-job training!
