Mouse River Basin Enhanced Flood Protection Project Public Input Meetings Scheduled

Minot, N.D. – A series of public input meetings have been scheduled for next week. The meetings serve as a follow up to the release of the Initial Concept Alignment on November 3, 2011. The public input meetings will include a presentation of the Initial Concept Alignment and will also provide the opportunity for residents to ask questions, or share feedback regarding this initial draft of the Mouse River Basin Enhanced Flood Protection Project.
 
Meetings with a primary focus on Minot have been scheduled for November 8 & 9 from 7pm – 9pm. The meeting with a primary focus on the upstream and downstream interests will be held November 10 from 7pm – 9pm.  All public input meetings will be held at the ND State Fair Center in the Theater.
 
The Initial Concept Alignment can be found on the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project website at www.mouseriverplan.com, and on the Facebook and Twitter pages at Mouse River Plan. Printed versions of the Initial Concept Alignment can be viewed at the Minot Public Library located at 516 2nd Ave SW in Minot. The Initial Concept Alignment through the cities of Burlington, Sawyer and Velva can be viewed at each city’s respective City Hall, and the Mouse River Park Initial Concept Alignment can be viewed at the Renville County Courthouse in Mohall.
